We instantly connected with her warm presence, gentle, caring character ... I had to ask her to be my doula!

Your doula, Amy.

Hi, I'm Amy.

I’m a certified doula, placenta encapsulation specialist, childbirth educator, and wife.

Most days you can find me running around with a toddler (iced coffee in hand!), whipping up something scrumptious in the kitchen or hanging out with a bunch of creative, innovative teenagers.

I am mostly known for teaching others simple, everyday ways to boost their immune systems, heal their bodies, and enhance their overall lives. I’m also known for my overflowing pots of soup, gifts of hand-crafted bath soaks, never-ending stacks of books, and hot kettles of soothing, herbal tea.

I am most passionate about healthy, filled-to-the-brim-with-joy marriages, adopting your fur babies from animal shelters, and passing down womanly knowledge to the girls we raise. I love serving the world by loving on babies and joining mothers and families on their journey into parenthood. People say that I fiercely believe in women and their bodies, and if you hang out with me long enough, you will too.

I work with young couples who are looking to grow their families and want help with having the joyous, most empowering birth experience possible. I give them the tools needed to create a peaceful birth atmosphere, a memorable labor experience, and the confidence to birth the way that feels right for themselves and their babies.

I specialize in:

  • young mothers.

  • couples who have struggled to conceive.

  • pregnancy after loss.

  • believing in you.

As a doula, I’ve been featured on Voyage Atl and have had the honor of training under midwives Ina May Gaskin, UmmSalaamah Abdullah, Monique Daviau, and Diana Calano.
I’ve trained under Maranda and Evan Bussanich to practice acupressure during pregnancy, labor/birth, and the early postpartum weeks following- and have certified as completing their program specifically geared towards birth and postpartum.
I am also honored to have trained under Angeles Mayte Noguez for her community’s indigenous practice of Womb Placement and Hip Closing.

Outside of birth work, I’m an experienced herbalist and I’m currently enrolled in a YTT-200 to become certified as a yoga instructor- with a special focus in prenatal care.

When I’m not busy bouncing babies, massaging moms or teaching dads how to use a rebozo, I’m probably sharing my yoga mat with my mixed, pit pup or hanging out in downtown Marietta with my hubby.
